Mathews Monkey Tails

The Monkey Tail String Silencers were introduced to the market in 2010 by Mathews Archery as an alternative device to attach to the string to reduce shot vibration. This accessory was released as a standard silencing feature for the Mathews Z-Series line of bows. According to Mathews, if 4 Monkey Tails were fitted to the string of the bow you would only lose around 1-2 fps in speed while eliminating virtually all sound and vibration, which is a pretty good trade-off.
